Facebook launch first virtual reality application

Facebook has finally announced a social virtual reality application and it is called Spaces. The application allows you to chat in a virtual space and browse your memories with your friends.

The VR Oculus was created for the game, but once Facebook has announced its intention to acquire the company specialized in the RV, the trajectory of the company has changed. Of course, Facebook will continue to develop the game, but the long-term vision for Mark Zuckerberg and his team has always been to make the VR a social experience.

At its F8 conference, Facebook launched Facebook Spaces. The application, which requires headphones Oculus Rift with touchscreen controllers, helps users meet friends in “interactive virtual environments”, as if you were all in the same room. Simply select one of your Facebook photos to display a set of virtual options to create your avatar in VR. From there, you can customize the look of your avatar by changing the color of your eyes, for example, or your hairstyle and facial expressions to better match your identity.

In the virtual world, you can draw in the air, share videos and photos to 360 degrees. Users can even take ‘ selfies ‘ with a virtual selfie stick and display the image on Facebook. Facebook said that it was planning to extend it to additional platforms over the coming months. In the meantime, you can download free Spaces of Facebook from the Oculus store.
